I’m a semi retired IT professional with over 50 years in the business. I’ve worked with early IBM Mainframes with 500kb of Magnetic Coil strorage to £12m Amdahl systems the size of a small house, through Distributed Systems, PCs and now Web development. I’ve worked extensively with SQL/MySQL databases, developed in COBOL, PL/1, IBM Assembler, Visual Basic, PHP and now C++.

I’m much more a developer than a designer, and wish I was always given a design to implement.

I’ve worked with Dreamweaver, Baver Builder, Elementor and now Bricks Builer. As a developer, I fine Bricks better than Elementor, however, with my lack of design skills, Elementor may be slightly easier, but after my next renewal, I don’t think I’ll work with it again.

I like to push the envelope so always looking at ways of using these tools without adding another plugin. I’m currently working on a site using face detection to document a family history in pictures.
