I’m having this annoying issue with the Animations Panel. It takes very long to launch, like 2 min 30s. When launched, everything works not too bad but the more I add animations the more it takes to launch.
Then there is that timeline I added just or test purpose but not refuses to be deleted. It freezes the page when asked to delete.
I’m not a dev, just starting to go deeper into animation with Bricksforge.
I just tried using the Timeline Panel on your site including deleting a timeline and just clicking around the animations. Everything is snappy on my end so I’m wondering if it might be a browser specific issue. Could you let me know which Browser and Operating System you’re on so I can try to reproduce the issue?
Also could you try in a different Browser on your end just to see if that changes anything?
Thanks Daniele,
Thanks Manc,
for your support.
Many things to say.
So as I said previously on Facebook, when deactivating Advanced Themer I was able to reduce the Animations Panel launch time from 2’30 to 30" ! Still high but manageable.
This time falls to 10" in an empty page.
I have the almost the same time with 3 old computers iMac (Core i3 - Duo), Mac mini (Core i3 -Due) and a Lenovo laptop (Core i5 2 cores). So maybe this is related to that.
Or maybe AT clashing with BF ???
If anayone could do the tests on old computers like mine to confirm or infirm, that would be great.
All the browsers I tested gave the same results (Vivaldi, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Brave)
Could you share some details about your OS and Browser? I’ve tried even on my potatoe-ish older windows laptop and didn’t encounter any issues. Since you’re not the only one I’d like to figure out the common denominator here so we can reproduce the issue and find a solution
Never had exactly that issue. Only in on animation in the past the panel struggled a lot. It was a menu item animation on hover with splittext (chars). Menu item are duplicated to have the text rolling effect also. But from latest bricksforge version never had any lag.
Hi Daniele,
But was it just a test page (blank) or was it the page with the animation on it ?
No issue with a blank page. It’s 10" but manageable.
But once I start setting an animation, setting it will be like easy but once I’ll leave the Animation Panel, the trouble will start.
I simply starting to believe that this is an old computer thing.
Mac mini 2012 running Ventura 13.6.3 thanks to OCLP. (kinda Frankestein machine). But this will not explain why it does work on my Lenovo on Windows 10 other than beccause it’s an old machine.
Oh and I forgot to say that I tracked the CPU activity with Activity Monitor on my Mac mini and it goes up to 110% for the edited page untill the timeline appears. Then it drops down to like 40%. Offcourse the timelime is laggy but usable. Sometimes it won’t even open the timeline then crash.
