I’m getting an issue where the builder in Bricks does not display anything in the editor preview. The editor panels all show and I can edit things through the structure panel, but the main preview window is blank. If I disable Bricksforge then the editor window comes back. Otherwise it is blank when editing any page or template with Bricks. This was also happening for me on Bricks 2.2. Updating to 2.3 didn’t help.
It seems to be an incompatibility with Advanced Themer as the error message in browser console is
‘Uncaught TypeError: can’t access property “vue_app”, document.querySelector(…).contentDocument.querySelector(…) is null

If I disable either Bricksforge or Advanced Themer, the error goes away and the editor works.
I have a similar issue here. My whole editor page is blank when trying to edit pages/templates with Bricks. When I toggle Advanced Themer or Bricksforge off, it works just fine. I’ve tried toggling off all other plugins, but it didn’t help. Also, I don’t get any console errors — it just doesn’t work. I can’t even replicate it on any other website. I have this same plugin combination on 3 websites right now, with the same plugin settings, and it doesn’t work only on this one.
I just found out I can edit pages where I don’t have any forms or inserted templates with forms. The editor also works fine when I toggle off Pro Forms in the Elements section of the plugin settings. So it’s not a whole plugin conflict. It’s just the Forms part of it.
thanks, your test was the decisive hint. We tracked it down: our Pro Forms script in the builder reached into Bricks’ Vue internals across the iframe boundary and could throw when Advanced Themer’s builder.js delayed that mount, which then aborted the canvas rendering. That is a timing race, which is why it only shows up on some sites.
We have just fixed this for 4.0, and since that release is coming very soon, the fix will be included there.
Hi, when do you expect to release 4.0? It’s already been 18 days, and we need to edit the website. Would it be possible to push this fix as a hotfix, please? Thanks!
Hi, love the updated UI of 4.0. But unfortunately, the bug was not resolved, and the editor pages are still blank. Still no console errors or anything. Can we please resolve this? We cannot edit our website, and the client is understandably getting really impatient.
could you test if the latest Advanced Themer update solves this issue?
If not: please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG in wp-config.php, open the builder on a page that contains a form, and send me what lands in wp-content/debug.log. Also check the network tab in the browser for the HTTP status of the builder page request itself when it loads blank, for example 200 or 500.
