I’m using the Bricksforge 4.0 Beta and have bit of feedback. When I add an image to the email designer it’s automatically selected as “Full Width” which always goes being the width of the canvas.
If I put an image URL in the image URL field, the image doesn’t display on the canvas. I tried this with a gif so that could be the disparity. When I download the html and open the file, the gif does display properly.
New design looks GREAT do far and is working beautifully overall!

thanks a lot for testing the beta and for the kind words, much appreciated! Both points, one by one:
That is intentional for images dropped directly on the root level of the template: the new designer treats them as hero/header images and switches on “Full Width” automatically. Full Width means the image spans the complete content width and also covers the left/right content padding, so it sits edge to edge on the sheet, both on the canvas and in the sent email. If you do not want that, simply switch “Full Width” off in the image settings. The image then uses its own Width setting (300px by default) and stays inside the content padding. Images placed inside columns never go full width.
Good catch, that is a bug on our side. The canvas preview currently only looks at the media picker “Image” field and ignores the “Image URL” field, so it keeps showing the placeholder. The generated email itself uses the URL, which is why the GIF works in the downloaded HTML. It is not related to the file being a GIF. I have noted it and will fix the preview so the URL image shows up on the canvas as well.
