Cannot preselect category terms in Bricks Forge Pro form select field for CPT made by Jetengine

I created a CPT with Jet Engine and made an edit form with Bricks Forge Pro form.

The form works perfectly - it can save everything to the CPT including the taxonomy field. But when I refresh the form, I can display all the recorded data from that CPT, except I can’t preselect the select field for the taxonomy.

All other fields populate correctly on form load, but the taxonomy select field always defaults to the first option instead of showing the saved value.

Have you tried using the conditional selection inside of the option element in the select?

You can just set the value to whatever you used as a value in the selects option itself, like the terms name, slug or ID.
