Hi everyone,
I’m considering purchasing Bricksforge and I have a question about the Font Awesome Pro element.
I have a Font Awesome Pro license and I’m using FA version 7. Two things I’d like to clarify:
-
Does the Font Awesome Pro element currently support Font Awesome 7? I’d like to have FA 7 Pro icons available in the Bricks icon picker.
-
Does the self-hosting option (Host Fonts Locally) work with FA 7 files? I manage multiple client websites and need to avoid Kit pageview limits, so self-hosting is essential for my workflow.
Any info from users or the team would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hey
Feel free to test it out in the free playground: https://try.bricksforge.io
As you can include your own files, I don’t think there is a problem with FA7. But as we don’t have a FA license, unfortunately we can’t personally test it.
Hey Daniele!
Yes, I’ve already tested it and it looks like the icons work but with some limitations. FA7 introduced many new icon styles (Graphite, Slab, Notdog, etc.) which unfortunately I’m not able to select in the element. Another thing I noticed is that the secondary color setting doesn’t work for Duotone icons. Other than these two issues, the icons seem to work fine.
It would be great to add full FA7 support in a future update!
Thanks!
Tom
