Fontawesome Pro settings help

How To

  1. I activated Fontawesome in the Elements section.
  2. I entered my Fontawesome Pro KIT ID.
  3. When I try to use Fontawesome, I do not see the range of Pro.

I don’t see: * Icon Style: Choose between Duotone, Light, Regular, Solid and Thin.

I appreciate some help please as I am obviously doing something wrong!

Hey :pray: there is a related „Font Awesome Pro“ element coming from Bricksforge. Bricks has no official API yet to extend the native icon list, so you need to use the Bricksforge element instead.

I did activate the BricksForge element and added the Fontawesome Pro Kit.

Is there anything else for me to do?

I assumed I would see the Pro icons.

After activating it, you should find the „Font Awesome“ element in the Bricks element list (in the „Bricksforge“) category. Just add the element to the canvas and use your pro icons :blush:

These guys were able to hook into the bricks panel to display the icons. I think this would be a worthwhile upgrade to use this method, and allow bricksforge users to pick from the icons in their kit.

As there is no official API, the only option is to hook in via detours and workarounds. As soon as Bricks changes something here, this would lead to problems. I’m not a fan of hacky solutions, I’d rather wait for an official way to expand the field…

I get that. Is it just icon library options they don’t let you hook into? I was able to hook into the query options with a custom query definition.
