Manage licences for clients

Hi @Daniele

After all I pushed the purchase button, unfortunately Au dollars are so low at the moment and it costs me much more than I expected, BUT I think it worth it. Hopefully it’ll be my very good investment after the Bricks itself.

  1. I see no way to create child licence for the client sites, nor the whitelist domains, something like Bricks has.
Could you please confirm how to manage that?
Do you wish to add the whitelist like Bricks? It prevents misusing the licence.

Thanks

I like how WPVivid Pro, Elementor, and Piotnet do about license management.

  • WPVivid Pro - We have a father license by default. And we can create child licenses for our clients and revoke their access by removing the child license. So even if the clients have the license key code, we don’t need to worry if they attempt to activate it, as the key is removed from the system.
  • Elementor & Piotnet - They don’t provide a license key. Instead, we will need to sign in to our account for the site activation. This is also good because it protects web and plugin developers’ benefits. Because there will be zero chance for the product to be a nulled product by the nulled market.
  • Bricks Builder - How BricksBuilder handles the license is still acceptable. We can allow/block the site manually. But it’s not ideal for the long run. When the clients have the license key code, they can permanently activate the Bricks license for the other sites, which we will need to block manually.

Hey together,

I like the idea to be able to set a whitelist. Thanks to posting this. I see the whitelist as even more important than a blacklist. This is a good way to prevent piracy.

Yes I have both WPvivid Pro which use to generate the child license and Bricks which uses the White and Black list.

I thinks having the Whitelist should do the job. It is much better than having nothing to secure the main license.

Thanks

I checked it, when you have a whitelist, then even if you try to use the license on any othere site which is not included on the whitelist it does not work. You just need to manually add the client website into the whitelist.

Please can you share how to create child licenses with Bricks? I never knew you could do that.

Nima didn’t mean creating a child license with Bricks. It was referring to WPVivid Pro.

Okay. Thanks for the clarification.

Hi @Daniele ,

Have you done anything regarding this matter?
I would like to have a control how the main licence is being used before activate my licence to any of my clients websites.

It would be nice if you implement one of the above mentioned ways to manage the licence and preventing from being misused.

Thanks
