When we apply page transition to our bricks site. The page loads without the correct font sizes. the after a hard refresh the styles return. What would cause this? We load brickss css filess externally via bricks settings and we are using core frame work.

Page Transitions doesn’t reload the page. It fetches the next page and swaps the content, so the styles and scripts of other plugins are not loaded and initialized the way they are on a normal page load. Out of the box, Page Transitions is only compatible with Bricks and Bricksforge. For other plugins like Core Framework, the compatibility has to be added individually with a small script on your side.
You can do that directly in the Page Transitions settings under “Hooks & Compatibility” > “Custom Hooks”, for example on the page:view hook, which runs after every transition. There you can re-add or re-initialize whatever Core Framework needs after the content swap.
