I would love to see the nestable button to be available for the Pro Form, so that I can simply apply the same class to style the button.

I can’t speak for the developer, but I wonder if he will implement many more features for the non-nestable pro forms option, as I believe he is just keeping that around for backwards compatibility. It sounds like as of BF 1.0.5, the nestable Pro Forms really is the way to go.
Just wanted to add my thoughts here, in case it takes a while for you to get a response.
