I have a pro form with various actions (email, update option, create post, create submission). I checked the option “prevent duplicates” under the submissions menu. The field to check for duplicates it’s an hidden field with the user email. The option it’s working only half, because the error message appears, the form is not submitted, the email does not arrive, but still the option is updated and the post is created.
The „Prevent Duplicates“ setting is a setting related to the „Create Submission“ action. It only affects this action and is not touching the others. It’s just meant to prevent to collect duplicates in the submissions list. Depending on the use case, users may want to run other actions anyway.
