Show / Hide Admin Menu (Left) according to user role

The title says it all I think.

I would like to be able to hide items shown on the left side menu on a role basis.

I KNOW something like User Role Editor can do this but having this built into Bricksforge, since other Roles are being manipulated as well, having this all in one place, would be very unified and handy way of managing this.

Daneile, How do you evaluate and prioritize these feature requests?

It would be helpful to see a response with your take on our suggestions.

Thanks

Hi!

Thanks for this request. We’re still figuring out if something like this still fits into the Bricksforge concept. The question is always: where do you draw the line? Bricksforge is a tool that focuses on bricks. Even the backend designer still fits in there (among other things because of the Bricks templates that can be used). But a complete role system that goes towards user rights is another level again.

What do you guys think? Does it fit in?

My inclination is that you are managing Bricks access by role so the rest of the Admin panel falls along the same lines or scope.

Maybe other think differently but reducing the number of plugins with well written code is a good way to go in my opinion.

Well im in a group in telegram and i see so many guys are so excited about the backend designer and they all say if we could able to edit the menu items like:

1- show/ hide items base on user role
2- set width for the menu
3- set the icons of menu items to left/right (rtl/ltr)

Would be so great so they can remove two unnecessary Plugins for that like ui press/ ultimate dashboard

I think if bricksforge adding a feature is better to do it perfect not just add few features and every one hopes to be able to add some more
