The Gsap code preview does not show the truth

In version 4.0, the elements configured via the animation panel editor should reflect the actual changes visible in the GSAP code. Unfortunately, when I select them, they are treated as an array, or the animation is not recognized as a single element, which means it does not appear in the GSAP code.

Furthermore, when I save this as finished changes, it is not always visible on the frontend. and it is random. I would like to point out that I do not have any plugins enabled that serve as a cache, so nothing is stored in the cache.

I am sending a video that might be helpful.

By the way, great job on version 4. The animation panel is now a much more pleasant tool in terms of UX and UI.
Greetings!

Hi,

thanks, and glad you like the new panel. Two separate things here.

The code view: it is generated from the timeline data by a separate generator and is meant for reading and copying, it is not what runs on the frontend. And it doesn’t cover everything the runtime does yet. Concretely, from the code: the timeline option “Treat matched elements as array” is ignored in the generated code, the SplitText mask and classes are left out, and while the runtime skips an animation whose selector isn’t found on the page, the preview always prints it. So in exactly those spots the preview and reality differ, and I’ll bring the generator in line with the runtime. If you saw something beyond that, a screenshot of the animation settings plus the generated snippet would help me pin it down, the video didn’t come through on my side.

The frontend part I can’t reproduce from here. What would help: the page URL, the name of the timeline, and the browser console after loading the page. The runtime logs a warning starting with “Bricksforge Panel:” when it skips an animation, for example because the selector doesn’t match anything on that page, which would also explain why it looks random if the markup differs between pages. Also make sure the timeline was saved with the panel’s own save button, the panel is stored independently of the Bricks page save.

Best
