Update ACPT Post Meta with Pro Forms

Based on a recent community question, I have been trying to update ACPT custom fields using Pro Forms, and so far, I cannot seem to get it to work.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Hmm… last time I tried it it worked so far. Is the meta just not being updated? Or are you getting an error?

There are no errors, the default post fields are being updated successfully but the post meta is not being updated.

I can send login details to the InstaWP website if needed.

@Daniele, I still haven’t been able to update the ACPT Repeater field on the front end. I can successfully pull the data into the form, but it doesn’t update the field.

I also have problems with some other options like the “Is Enabled Post Taxonomy Term”

Hey @Daveden2, I have found the reason for this.

ACPT always needs also the box_name beside of the post meta name. In the “Update Repeater” settings, this field was not there.

After adding this field, also updating the repeater fields will work:

This will be deployed with the next update I probably upload later today

Ah, I see! Nice! Thanks for looking into it!

This is wishful thinking, but if the update drops before my livestream today, I’ll test it out live.

When do you plan the livestream?

It is usually at 3:00 PM BST. That should be 4:00 PM CEST.

Hey guys can you navigate me to some resource where I can learn how to add tags for a blog post when posting from the front end using the pro form element ? I was not able to add tags, I used a repeater but it did not worked I would like to use a simple text input where user would seperate tags with commas… can you help me with it ? thx.

Currently, my understanding is that only one tag/category can be added at a time. I don’t know if @Daniele has a solution for adding an array of terms.

Thx Dave, I managed to make it work but It can only add an existing tag. Is teher a way to set it up in a way that if the tag does not exist, it creates a new one ??
