UX Issue with Curly Braces

It seems odd that in Pro Forms and the Edit Post option that the Update Post Action you need the double curly braces but in the Update Post Meta action you don’t. I can’t see a reason for it, and with th FX button automatically inserting thes braces, it’s just a pain to have to delete them, or as I keep doing, forget to remove them.

Anyway, just a useability issue, nothing too important.

You don’t need to remove the double curly braces. If you were working based on my livestream, I made many mistakes on it while figuring things out.

It turned out (after an explanation by the support team) that my form was having problems because I used “post-id” and “post-title” for my custom ID.

I’d recommend watching the Frontend Post Submission or Frontend Post Update videos instead.

Hi David,
Yes, this was following your video, so are you saying these videos have the correct way of addressing the fields?

Yes, these videos were made after the support team clarified some issues. However, it did not address the radio fields.

Also, I haven’t found a way to use “Conditionally Selected if” with radio fields, and I am still struggling with populating options with “ACF arrays”.

So please mark this as closed.

I managed to get the Radio options updating using the ACF array as per the attached. I can’t however get it to show the current option without the Dynamic Shortcodes as you used.

Do the radio options show without the field key?

The radio buttons don’t have either selected, but they are updated on the backend.
